What to Expect

What Can You Expect  from Cursillo?

During a Cursillo weekend, 30 or more people move into a church facility on Thursday night and live there until Sunday evening. The "staff" consists of  3-4 spiritual directors (ordained clergy and religious) plus a team of committed Christian  lay workers who have already been through Cursillo. Throughout the weekend, the lay team members and spiritual directors share ideas and experiences   through a series of talks and planned activities.

As a Cursillo candidate on your first weekend, the lay workers will see to caring for all of your needs to include; sleeping quarters, meal preparation, bathroom facilities, and prayer time.  Many people have a lot of questions about what Cursillo is and why they should be a part of Cursillo.

You can expect...
