Typical Schedule for the School of Leaders

 

 

 

Monthly Format

 

7:30 PM     Opening prayer and Leaders’ Group Reunion

Prayer - Each session of the School of Leaders, must begin and end with prayer. It is recommended that the Leaders’ Prayer be used to open each meeting.

Leaders’ Group Reunion – Challenges the individuals to evaluate their everyday activities in regards to Precursillo, Cursillo and Postcursillo.

 

8:00 PM     Doctrinal presentation & discussion

This is given by a priest, deacon or vowed religious to keep leaders of the Movement current concerning matters of the Church. Typical topics for this presentation can include: Encyclicals, NCCB documents, Vatican II documents, excerpts from the Catechism of the Catholic Church, etc.

 

8:25 PM     Technique presentation & discussion

This is given by a member of the laity to keep the leaders current with the essence, purpose, methodology, strategy and foundational Charism of the Cursillo Movement. This presentation should come from official Cursillo literature.

 

8:50 PM     Work of the Sections

Time must be given to discuss the ongoing work of Precursillo, Cursillo and Postcursillo. All three phases are equally important and should be treated as one Method.

 

9:00 PM     Section reports and announcements

This is the opportunity for leaders of each section to report, to the entire School, about what is being done in their section. It is also an opportunity to solicit help from other leaders. Announcements are made to keep all School members aware of local, Regional and National activities.

 

9:15 PM     Visit to the Blessed Sacrament

It is recommended to end each School of Leaders session with a visit to the Blessed Sacrament (if at all possible).
